Download Tomtom Navigator 7 Windows Ce
Posted By admin On 13.08.19Hello,
I also have one of these double din GPS stereos and have been going crazy trying to have tomtom work on it.
I managed to have TomTom Navigator 7.910 running, the setup begins and I set up language, voices and then I get the 'No maps found' message. I am sure the maps are there, and they are enabled for the unit, but TomTom just doesn't find them.
I tried m0rph's suggestion, but in the registry of my unit I don't have the SHELL FOLDERS -> My Documents entries, I only have these:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
EXPLORER
I created SHELL FOLDERS entry and then inside of it a DWORD entry called My Documents and set is value to 'storagecard', but if I close the entry and then check it's value, it is set to '0'.. and TomTom still doesn't find the maps.
By the way, the SD card on my unit seems to have a different name, it seems to be 'SDMMC', I also tried setting this value in the new registry entries that I created but it didn't work. Maybe because of the '0' value?
I have various questions, as I am a newby on Windows CE and this type of hardware:
1. How can I check what version of Win CE is in the unit?
2. Should I've created the registry entries? If so, what type of entry should they be? ('SHELL FOLDERS' and 'My Documents')
3. Is there a way to run the windows CE desktop and start the application from there? (SO that I may run other applications)? How?
4. Any other ideas on how to solve the 'No maps found' problem?
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate your help
